"The advancement of quantum computing is poised to revolutionize industries, but significant challenges remain, particularly in scaling quantum systems for practical use. In this talk, we explore the innovative collaboration between NXP Semiconductors and eleQtron, two industry leaders at the forefront of technology innovation.

NXP, an international provider of semiconductor-based technology solutions with expertise in scalable fabrication, and eleQtron, a German pioneer in trapped-ion quantum computing, are combining their strengths to address these challenges. This talk will provide a brief introduction of ion trap quantum computers, before delving into how NXP and eleQtron are jointly developing quantum processors that merge ion trap technology with semiconductor technology like Single-Photon Avalanche Diodes (SPADs) and Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs). These on-chip solutions are critical in solving the scalability bottlenecks in quantum computing.

By leveraging NXP's advanced semiconductor technologies and eleQtron's quantum expertise, we aim to make quantum computing more scalable, reliable, and accessible for real-world applications. This collaboration is a vital step towards realizing the full potential of quantum computing and overcoming key barriers in the path to scalable quantum computers."
