Quantum in Industry: A Review of What Is Possible Today

Quantum computing is heavily rooted in financial services, be it in the textbook portfolio optimization example or in critical ML classification pipelines. In this talk Kipu Quantum will present together with Mayo Clinic (Rochester, USA) use cases running on quantum computers today. Mayo Clinic, winner of this year's Berlin Quantum Hackathon, will report on their approach to building a motor imagery EEG classification with quantum-enhanced features in a deep learning pipeline (Mayo Clinic Proceedings, 2026). Kipu will then give a measured account of optimization problem sizes against the current hardware roadmap. The talk closes with an invitation to build Industrial Quantum Usefulness together.
