AI's potential to reshape how companies compete and economies grow runs on cloud infrastructure, the compute and data centres beneath it. That dependency has made cloud a matter of economic resilience and geopolitical exposure, not just procurement.
The panel asks what Europe actually needs to have real choice in this, what it takes to build and operate AI capacity at scale, and where the true constraint on adoption lies. Many European companies have yet to use AI at all, suggesting the bottleneck may sit less in available compute than in everything that has to be in place before it becomes useful.
