Agentic AI: When Systems Start to Act
From AI to Action: How Agentic AI Brings True Autonomy to Systems
Everyone is talking about AI agents. But the question that decides success in production is no longer what an agent can do — it is what it should be allowed to do. This session explores that question through two production-grade AI systems at opposite ends of the autonomy spectrum: a monitoring platform for critical infrastructure, where the alarm path stays strictly deterministic and agents work asynchronously beside it, and an enterprise assistant where the agent is the application — yet autonomy is still deliberately bounded. The shared lesson: successful agentic AI is not about removing boundaries, but about designing them well enough to maximize safe autonomy.
