Katrin Staffler grew up in Günding, Dachau, and currently resides in Türkenfeld, Fürstenfeldbruck with her husband and son. She completed her Abitur at Ignaz-Taschner-Gymnasium in Dachau and studied Biochemistry at the Technical University of Munich. After several years in research, she transitioned to public relations, most recently serving as a spokesperson for a major bank in Munich. She has been an active member of the political community since 2007, holding numerous positions at the local, district, and regional levels. She began her political journey as a member of the CSU, the Young Union, and the Women’s Union, and served for eight years as the local chairwoman of the Women’s Union Gröbenzell. From 2008 to 2014, she served as a Municipal Councilor in the municipality of Gröbenzell. In 2011, she became a member of the Executive Board of the CSU Oberbayern, and in 2014, she was elected as a District Councilor in the Fürstenfeldbruck district. She has been the Chairwoman of the CSU District Association Fürstenfeldbruck since 2019. Most recently, in 2024, she took on the role of Co-Chair of the CSU Family Commission in Bavaria. Her political career is marked by her dedication to her community and her commitment to public service. Today, she represents both Dachau and Fürstenfeldbruck in the German Bundestag, a role she cherishes due to her deep personal and familial ties to these regions.
