Facilitating the Integration of Quantum Computing Solutions into Smart Grid Infrastructure
In this presentation, we will highlight a collaborative project with our industrial partner, E.ON Digital Technology GmbH, co-presented with Dr. Corey O’Meara (who is also an invited speaker at your event). We have explored the feasibility of creating classical surrogate models for quantum solutions, focusing on their computational and memory requirements. This approach demonstrates the potential to leverage quantum algorithms without the high costs associated with quantum hardware, making these advanced techniques more accessible for real-world applications. We will demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach in predicting power plant demand and discuss future implementation opportunities across various industries, showcasing its transformative potential in sectors such as energy, mobility, and healthcare.
