Addressing the software gap: Quantum computing software and benchmark in public funding

In this presentation, Sophia Helmrich and Johann Schmidt from DLR Projektträger will highlight key aspects of the BMWK funding call "Quantum Computing - Application for Industry". Drawing from their extensive experience in overseeing and organizing the call for the BMWK, and supporting the projects through Program Support, they will emphasize the contributions of the participating projects to the quantum computing software stack and its potential to drive the adoption of quantum computing. Additionally, they will discuss one of the program's cross-cutting topics: the benchmarking of algorithms, hardware, and software, as well as application-related benchmarks.
