Preparing for the AI revolution: How we establish (Gen)AI at Stadtwerke München

At Stadtwerke München (SWM), Europe's largest municipal utility services provider, we are at the forefront of Gen AI innovation with the early adoption of an internal self-built ChatGPT tool, launched already in July 2023. In this session we will cover the developmental journey, architectural design, and practical applications of this widely-used application. 

We will also dive into Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), highlighting our recent findings from linking internal textual data sources with a ChatGPT LLM. We built a prototype tailored for customer support use cases and present its integration into everyday operations. 

Additional AI initiatives, including text-to-speech and custom voice technology, digital twin projects and corresponding tailor-made AI solutions, will be briefly introduced.
