Opportunities and risks of modern AI - The European Approach

As the world's leading independent research center for AI, the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) initiates, implements, and supports numerous activities to place reliable and trustworthy industrial AI from Germany and Europe at the forefront of international competition. Together with the Institut national de recherche en informatique et en automatique (INRIA), we have developed a joint vision for the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence and digital sovereignty in Europe. Europe has particular strengths in basic research and industrial production in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The challenge for our continent is to translate the results of excellent basic research into commercial success.
