Sylwia Olbrych

"Since February 2022, Sylwia Olbrych has been a Research Assistant and doctoral candidate at the Chair of Intelligence in Quality Sensing (WZL) at RWTH Aachen University, under the supervision of Prof. Robert Schmitt. As part of the Machine Intelligence Methodologies research group, her work focuses on applying various machine learning techniques to production processes, connecting AI models, and developing AI-based decision-support systems. Before this role, Sylwia spent nearly four years as a Magnetron Process Engineer at Saint-Gobain Sekurit Germany, where she worked on projects related to the building and automotive industries. Sylwia holds a Materials Engineering and Micro- and Nanotechnology degree from AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Poland. Her master’s thesis, completed at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (EMPA) in Switzerland, focused on 3D printing with nano-powder ceramic materials."
