Ingolf Wittmann

Ingolf Wittmann studied Computer Science and Business Administration at the University of Stuttgart and worked at IBM starting in 1990. Most recently, he served as Technical Director responsible for the global IBM Quantum technical field team and as CTO for the High Performance Computing business in Europe. Through the IBM/Fraunhofer Quantum project, he established the new Quantum Systems business unit at Fraunhofer IAF in his role as Business Unit Head. Ingolf Wittmann has been active with BITKOM since 2004, establishing and leading various working groups. Since 2021, Ingolf Wittmann has worked as an independent consultant specializing in quantum technologies and HPC for companies, startups, and investment funds.
