Hanna-Katharina Müller

Hanna joined the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community in January 2019. She is Head of the Division “Political Systems; Hybrid Threats, Disinformation”. Since June 2019, the division has taken over the interdepartmental lead for the topic of hybrid threats for the German Federal Government Since June 2024, she has also been the head of the development team of the newly established “Central Central Office for the Detection of Foreign Information Manipulation” (ZEAM). The aim of the unit is to quickly detect and analyze foreign manipulated information influence and manipulation campaigns. Prior to her work at the Federal Ministry, she worked at the Federation of German Industries (BDI), where she was responsible for the China-related work within BDI and the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA). 2016 she established the first BDI office in China/Beijing and acted as Chief Representative.
