Dr Nico Piatkowski

Nico studied computer science and economics at TU Dortmund. He obtained his Dr. rer. nat. from TU Dortmund in 2018. Since 2020, Nico is the group lead of the LAMARR innovation group Quantum Machine Intelligence at the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems IAIS in Sankt Augustin. Nico's research is focused on probabilistic graphical models and generative probabilisitc machine learning in general. His current research interest is on new unitary and adiabatic quantum algorithms for probabilistic inference as well as on the quantification of the reliability of qubits by means of marginal divergences.
