From AI to Quantum: Highlights of AIDAQ 2024
The AI & Data Summit and Quantum Summit 2024 brought together the brightest minds, groundbreaking innovations and future-shaping discussions. From insightful keynotes to hands-on workshops, together with more than 1,800 participants and 200+ speakers in 140+ sessions we explored the transformative potential of AI, data and quantum technologies.
Day 1 Highlights
Bitkom President Dr Ralf Wintergerst opened the summit on the first day with a clear message: "We cannot control what China or the USA do. But we can decide how we invest and strengthen our own ecosystem."
Federal Minister Dr Volker Wissing followed by highlighting the transformative potential of AI: "AI has the potential to turn each individual's capabilities into something greater – now is the time to seize this opportunity and drive digital transformation forward."
The summit featured insights from industry experts like Jonas Andrulis (Aleph Alpha), Agnes Heftberger (Microsoft Deutschland), Dr Christine Knackfuss-Nikolic (T-Systems International) and Dr Philipp Herzig (SAP), who shared practical examples of AI-driven innovation and quantum computing across various sectors.
Day 2 Highlights
The second day opened with a keynote from Elke Reichart, CDSO at Infineon Technologies, who focused on the critical role of European semiconductors in driving sustainability, enhancing competitiveness, and ensuring resilience.
Reflecting the summit's optimistic outlook, Bitkom Vice President Christina Raab stated: "Only with a strategic approach can we harness the full power of AI and quantum computing. This secures digital sovereignty and can generate a new economic upswing."
The event concluded with a closing keynote by Federal Minister Dr Robert Habeck, who emphasized: "Saying no to AI means saying no to a normal life. The possibilities of data and quantum technologies give us hope for a better future."
