AI holds transformative potential, yet its implementation often reveals challenges that demand urgent attention: Compliance requirements, integrating responsible AI practices, struggling to initiate a meaningful shift towards a more ethical approach are reality and a clear starting point often unclear. In this landscape, the EU AI Act emerges as a pivotal factor - posing the question of whether it acts as a trust barrier or serves as an innovation game-changer. At PwC, we believe Responsible AI is not a constraint, but a catalyst. If we embrace it as an innovation booster, we can build AI that is trusted by stakeholders, drives efficiency, and creates real impact. The EU AI Act can be perceived not just as a regulatory challenge but as an opportunity to redefine how AI is developed and deployed, fostering trust among stakeholders and building innovations responsibly. The call to action is clear: all stakeholders must collaborate in shaping the future of AI responsibly, cultivating a Responsible AI Culture that promotes accountability that drives innovation forward and clear roles and activities to keep efficiency on a high level. The greatest danger of AI is not that it becomes too intelligent, but that we relinquish our responsibility to it.
