Swantje Kortemeyer

Swantje Kortemeyer is Deputy Head of the Strategic Communications Division at the Federal Foreign Office. In this role, she coordinates the analysis of foreign disinformation and information manipulation at the Federal Foreign Office and develops strategies to limit their impact. Her tasks also include strengthening the communication of German foreign policy worldwide. Ms. Kortemeyer serves a career diplomat in the Federal Foreign Office since 2009. Abroad, she headed the Economic Service of the German Embassy in Romania and the Cultural and Press Section of the German Embassy in Uzbekistan. From 2013 to 2016, she worked as Deputy Head of Division for European Affairs at the Office of the Federal President. She also served in the press office of the Federal Foreign Office.
