Susanne Dehmel

Susanne Dehmel is Managing Director Law and Security at the Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunication and New Media (Bitkom) since 2014. In her former role she was Head of Department Data Protection since 2010. She is a lawyer and did her studies in Passau, Freiburg and Cardiff. Before taking over the Data Protection Department she was responsible for Copyright Law and Intellectual Property Issues from 2002-2009. Encouraging trust and security in the digital world and the development of a modern and practicable legal framework for the information society are important aspects of her work.
