Einstein Professor of Clinical Neurotechnology & CIO,

Charité Berlin

Prof Dr Surjo R. Soekadar is Einstein Professor of Clinical Neurotechnology and Chief Innovation Officer at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. His research focuses on the convergence of quantum sensing, artificial intelligence, and non-invasive neuromodulation to develop the next generation of precision neurotechnology. He pioneered non-invasive bidirectional brain-computer interfaces and is currently advancing quantum sensor-based brain decoding and closed-loop neuromodulation for the diagnosis and treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders. Prof Soekadar is the recipient of both an ERC Starting Grant and an ERC Consolidator Grant (BNCI²). His current research aims to establish the world's first bidirectional quantum brain-computer interface by combining optically pumped quantum magnetometers with temporal interference magnetic stimulation, paving the way for a new generation of precision neurotechnology.
