Paul Burggraf is Managing Director and Co-Founder of Thryve (mHealth Pioneers GmbH), a Berlin-based digital health technology company specializing in wearable and patient-generated health data. At Thryve, he focuses on medical research, clinical validation and partnerships with universities, university hospitals, health insurers, pharmaceutical companies and other healthcare organizations. His work centers on using real-world sensor and health data to develop and validate digital biomarkers, screening approaches and data-driven prevention and care solutions. He has initiated large-scale health data and research initiatives, including the Robert Koch Institute’s Corona-Datenspende, as well as research collaborations with universities and university hospitals across Germany and Europe. His work covers the full path from study infrastructure and data collection to analytics, clinical validation and translation of research results into healthcare applications. Before founding Thryve, Paul initiated the Chemical Network Simulation Unit at Evonik, applying data-driven modeling to complex systems. He also taught “Modeling of Complex Systems” at Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). Paul holds a degree in Industrial Engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen) with a specialization in aerospace engineering. His current focus is on wearable-derived health data, digital biomarkers, medical research and clinical validation, and building partnerships that translate research into real-world healthcare applications.
