Manfred Rieck

Manfred Rieck is heading the research groups for quantum technologies at Deutsche Bahn. The groups are focusing on the industrial usage of HPC and quantum computers for optimization problems and QML as well as on the security aspects of quantum technologies (PQC, QKD). Current main focus of the activity is the structured introduction of crypto agility in government and industry. Mr. Rieck is Co-founder of the Federal Quantum Alliance, in the board of directors BITKOM HPC & QC, on the Quantum Research Committee of the Münchner Kreis and was for four years member of the Governance Board of the European Quantum Industry Consortium QuIC, Before he came to Deutsche Bahn, he held management positions at IBM and BASF. He holds a degree in computer science from the University of Bonn and an MBA from the University of Reading (UK).
