Jonathan Weiss joined Amazon in 2012 when his startup was acquired by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Today, he is Managing Director of the Amazon Development Center Germany GmbH and the site lead of Amazon's Berlin R&D Campus with more than 2,000 employees. His focus is on developer tools, DevOps, and operating services at scale. In 2023, his teams launched Amazon Q Developer, a new generative AI-powered assistant that supports developers when building and operating applications on and for AWS.
