From Code to Consequence: Managing the Ethical Responsibilities of AI
Elena A. Kalogeropoulos is a legal scholar and policy consultant working at the intersection of strategy, digital transformation, and diversity. Her work focuses on the societal and ethical dimensions of AI, particularly algorithmic discrimination, governance, and systemic change. She is the founder of E K & the good lab, a network that explores how systemic approaches and emerging technologies can foster responsible innovation and sustainable transformation. Elena brings over a decade of experience across public institutions, NGOs, and academia. From 2019 to 2022, she coordinated the Innovation Office for the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. She holds a legal degree, studied Strategic Management at Harvard University, and completed further training in innovation (LSE) and diversity & inclusion (Northwestern). Her focus lies in translating ethical debates on AI into practice and building bridges between policy, civil society, business, and science.
