Securing the Future with Post Quantum Cryptography
Dr Thomas Pöppelmann is a Software Engineering Manager at Google in Munich, working within the Product Security organization. He leads the team responsible for maintaining, updating, and future-proofing foundational cryptographic libraries such as Tink. Thomas holds a PhD in the secure implementation of lattice-based cryptography from Ruhr University Bochum and is a recognized expert in the field. He has made significant research contributions to the real-world application of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and was a co-submitter of the NewHope algorithm to the NIST PQC standardization process. His broader research interests span security architecture from edge to cloud, as well as the physical protection of cryptographic implementations in hardware and software.
