Dr. Pascal Halffmann holds a PhD in mathematics and is the research coordinator for the quantum computing activities of Fraunhofer ITWM in Kaiserslautern, Germany. His research is focused on both quantum computing and optimization with applications ranging from finance to energy. In particular, he has conducted substantial research in the intersection of these two research areas and provided substantial results on quantum algorithms for application-oriented optimization problems.
