Dr Mathias Moehring

Mathias Moehring is a driver of the digital transformation of Volkswagen Groups Product Development since he started his career within Volkswagens PhD program at Group Research dealing with Virtual Reality and immersive user experience. After joining Group IT in 2011 and being responsible for visualization applications he took over responsibilities for visualization data management and digital transformation within Volkswagen R&D. Back in Group IT he took care on IT side for the implementation of Systems Engineering within Volkswagen Group from 2018 on. Since 2021 he is responsible for the groups PLM program and the most important configuration management systems. In his current position he pushes the change of the Volkswagen engineering IT landscape towards a platform-based architecture that supports future-proof product development supported by AI.
