Advantages of Edge Cloud Systems under Review: From Assertions to Measurements
Dr.-Ing. Alexandra Pehlken is an excellent raw materials engineer from RWTH Aachen University and a sustainability expert with a focus on digitalization. She currently heads the "Sustainable Manufacturing Systems" research group at OFFIS and is developing digital tools to combat climate change and secure resources within the EU. She was awarded the 2018 German Raw Materials Efficiency Prize by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy for her IT development "Sustainable IT-supported recycling decisions using the example of used car parts." In the same year, Dr. Pehlken was announced as one of the "Köpfe der Zukunft" from the BMBF FONA - Research for Sustainable Development.
