Dr habil Stefan Knecht

Dr Stefan Knecht is the Head of Quantum & R&D Integration and Execution at Algorithmiq, where he leads efforts to bridge cutting-edge theoretical research with real-world applications, contributing to the advancement of quantum-enabled solutions in science and industry. Prior to his current position, he was leading the quantum chemistry and life science team at Algorithmiq, where his work centered on leveraging quantum computing to solve complex molecular and simulation challenges, particularly in areas such as drug discovery, drug metabolism and light-driven therapies. He holds a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry and completed his habilitation at ETH Zürich, where he has also contributed as a lecturer. Throughout his career, he has worked at several leading European research institutions, building expertise in high-performance computing and advanced quantum chemistry methods."
