Dr Felix von Held

Dr. Felix von Held works at the intersection of leadership, foresight, and transformation. For over 20 years he has guided boards and top management teams in corporations and mid-sized companies through change under uncertainty — with a focus on impact, mindset, and feasibility. His thesis for the AI era: the decisive bottleneck of transformation is not technology, but the self-efficacy of leadership. Under the term HI:AI — Human Intelligence + Artificial Intelligence — he shows how organizations connect people and AI effectively, rather than replacing one with the other. Together with the Bavarian Foresight Institute he developed the Robust Leadership Framework and the Robust Leadership Assessment — an approach to leadership in uncertainty and dynamic environments, based on a study of around 500 leaders. His book “Robust Leadership: Leading with Confidence into an Uncertain Future” is published by De Gruyter in 2026 (with Jan Oliver Schwarz); the German edition appeared in 2024. Before founding IICM Consulting, he led positions in innovation management and strategic change at BMW Group. He is co-founder and managing partner of IICM Consulting in Munich and has taught since 2008 at universities and business schools including CDTM Munich, ESB Reutlingen, and the University of Zurich.
