Anna Spitznagel is the Co-founder and CEO of trail, the Agentic Compliance Solution for Enterprises. The software automates complex, multi-step compliance and governance processes with specialized agents and enables to companies to deploy AI and software at scale.
Since founding the company in Munich, Anna has led trail’s work with clients, partners and certifiers, building an interdisciplinary team, comprising governance and AI experts from Germany, the US, and Canada.
Anna contributes to the development of international AI standards as part of German standardization committees and several industry associations. Before founding trail, she advised organizations on implementing AI governance frameworks and worked in early-stage startups. She holds a degree in Business Administration and Technology Management of LMU and contributed to national research on privacy at the workplace.
