Dr Michele Mosca

Michele Mosca is CEO and co-founder of evolutionQ, a cybersecurity company that pioneered quantum risk management and the BasejumpTM software product suite that enables scalable cryptographic resilience, essential in the era of computing capabilities enhanced by quantum computing and AI. 

Michele is a renowned expert in cryptography and among the world's leading experts at the intersection of quantum computing and cybersecurity. He has been instrumental in working globally with industry and governments to advance the imperative of preparing digital infrastructures to be resilient against quantum-enabled adversaries. 

Prior to evolutionQ, Michele co-founded the Institute for Quantum Computing while Professor of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo, Canada. He is a founding member of the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and his work on quantum computing has been published widely in leading journals and textbooks. 

Michele awards and honours include 2010 Canada's Top 40 Under 40, Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2013), SJU Fr. Norm Choate Lifetime Achievement Award (2017), a Knighthood (Cavaliere) in the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic (2018) and a winner of the top 25 Most Influential people in Quantum Security (2026).
