Francesco Bova

Francesco Bova is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. Francesco’s research focuses on the economics of quantum technologies. This research includes his co-authored work on quantum economic advantage and the commercial applications of quantum computing. 

Francesco is also the Academic Lead for Creative Destruction Lab’s Quantum Stream. Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) is a global seed-stage program for science-based companies. CDL Quantum was initially launched at CDL-Toronto at the Rotman School of Management in 2017. The CDL Quantum Stream has been instrumental in fostering groundbreaking quantum startups, with over 140 quantum startups participating in the program to date. At one point, quantum companies that participated in CDL accounted for approximately one fifth of all quantum startups worldwide. Alumni ventures from the program have also collectively raised over $800 million CAD.
