Carsten Helbing studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt and began his career as a graduate engineer at Volkswagen in 2001. There he held various management positions in research and development and is now Group Chief Technology Engineer and at the same time a member of the Executive Board of the Group's own company "AI-LAB".
