Agnes Heftberger

Agnes Heftberger has been serving as Corporate Vice President and Chairwoman of the Executive Board of Microsoft Germany since April, 2024. She reports to Ralph Haupter, President of Microsoft EMEA. 

Before joining Microsoft, Agnes Heftberger worked at IBM for more than 20 years. She held various leadership positions at IBM. Most recently, she led IBM’s business in Australia, Southeast Asia, Korea, and New Zealand. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Sales for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and member of the Executive Board of IBM Germany. 

In her work, Agnes Heftberger consistently focuses on innovation and customer orientation, thus promoting sustainable and inclusive growth as an experienced executive in the technology industry. Her global perspective and experience are particularly important during a time when AI is changing the innovation and production processes of many industries in Germany. 

The Austrian-born Heftberger holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
