Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space Assumes Patronage of AIDAQ 2026

Berlin, 24 March 2026 – For the first time, the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space will assume patronage of the AIDAQ hosted by the digital association Bitkom. AIDAQ stands for “AI, Data and Quantum.” Federal Minister Dorothee Bär will open the event with a keynote address.

Dorothee Bär, Federal Minister for Economics, Technology and Space, said: “The AIDAQ sends a strong signal regarding the importance of artificial intelligence and quantum technologies for Germany’s innovative strength and technological sovereignty, as well as for Germany’s High-Tech Agenda. ”

Dr Ralf Wintergerst, President of Bitkom, commented: “The German economy is accelerating the adoption of AI. Within a single year, the proportion of companies using AI has more than doubled to 41 per cent. AI is about much more than developing language models—it is about practical applications wherever Germany excels, in industry as well as in research. AIDAQ brings together precisely the minds from business, science and politics that are needed to turn technological potential into economic strength: in artificial intelligence, the data economy, and quantum technologies.”

As Europe’s leading event for artificial intelligence, the data economy, and quantum technology, AIDAQ 2026 will bring together more than 2,500 decision-makers and innovation drivers from politics, business, and research. Participants can expect over 200 high-calibre speakers and 140 programme sessions across four stages.

Confirmed speakers include Dr Daniela Brönstrup (Vice President, Federal Network Agency), Andreas Nauerz (Board Member & CPO, IONOS), Ina Schlie (Supervisory Board Member, Co-Founder, encourageventures), Lennard Schmidt (Co-Founder & CEO, Langdock) and Clemens Utschig-Utschig (CTO & Chief Architect IT, Boehringer Ingelheim).
